Occupational Safety and Health Organizations!

The National Institutes of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the research engine that provides recommendations to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for regulatory measures and policies regarding occupational health. NIOSH's Hearing Loss Prevention Program operates to reduce hearing loss through a research/practice partnership by implementing administrative controls within various industrial sectors. The Hearing Loss Prevention Program's vision is to provide NIOSH knowledge and technology to every worker impacted by occupational noise within 10 years. NIOSH has concentrated hearing loss prevention in the manufacturing, mining, and construction sectors because workers within each of these are very highly impacted by occupational noise.
