Radon!

Hi

The development of a campaign to support national awareness of environmental exposures to radon within the home would require groundwork from various stakeholders interested in environmental health, public health, and medicine. The Environmental Protection Agency would be a primary stakeholder in my campaign, as they have the means to disseminate information widely throughout the United States. I would also include the Health Effects Institute, a nonprofit organization that researches harmful health effects of environmental exposure. I would involve research universities throughout the United States in the development of the campaign materials and utilize hospitals as key venues for dissemination of information. Lastly, I would utilize social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to disseminate information to many individuals efficiently and effectively!

  1. Great skeleton work for your campaign. How do you think your campaign would do in terms of reaching a population that does not fully understand chemicals such as radon or even have access to online plateforms such as twitter?

  2. I like your idea of both an organized approach through hospitals and then a marketing campaign through the your digital reach. I would be curious to different effective information strategies in the short context that would be appropriate in the digital media approach.
